National Awards for Housing Excellence
Yet another astonishing announcement has arrived on consecutive days! Competing with nationwide home builders and interior designers, This is Dizign has been named a finalist in two categories at the National Awards: Best Condo/Townhouse Renovation over $300K and Best Townhouse/Condo Renovation Between $700K-$1M with the project “Revealing Enigma”.
According to the National Awards, this year marked a record-breaking competition. With
over 900 entries submitted from across the country, each of the 48 categories became highly competitive. Entries underwent evaluation by nearly 300 volunteer industry experts who reviewed project descriptions, images, and other supporting information such as floor plans included in the submission packages.
Canada, being a large country, boasts a wide variety of housing types at various price points. The competition’s categories reflect the diversity of homes built and renovated each year for both homeownership and rental purposes.
“This year witnessed our largest awards competition ever. We received entries from small family-run businesses that build and renovate just a few homes a year, as well as from larger companies shaping the neighborhoods Canadians live in. The caliber of entries speaks volumes about the work and skills required in the residential construction industry. This year’s finalists should take great pride in their accomplishments on the national stage,” remarked CEO Kevin Lee.
Forty-eight awards for excellence in housing will be presented on May 10th, 2024, in Saint John, New Brunswick, during CHBA’s Home Building Week in Canada. The categories include:
New Home Awards (16 awards)
New Home Spaces Awards (4 awards)
Net Zero Home Awards (2 awards)
Home Renovation Awards (12 awards)
Community Development Awards (2 awards)
Marketing Awards (12 awards)
In addition to the above, three major awards will also be presented. The Design Excellence Award, Renovation Excellence Award, and Marketing Excellence Award will each honor the home builder or renovator who has achieved the best overall standing in the respective new home, renovation, and marketing categories.
